Class Description: Applique Embroidery, Folded Fabric Embroidery
Faux Piping/2 Tone Quilt Binding

Day 1 (3 hrs)
Agenda:
• Stitch the Beach block & Sky block
• Remaining 3 Ocean blocks to be stitched before Day 2
class time
Supplies & tools needed:
• Embroidery machine with hoop and bobbins
• Applique trimming scissors
• Fabrics & Threads (up to 1⁄4 yd each)
- 3 Sky fabrics & matching threads
- 3 or 4 sand fabrics & matching threads
- Up to 10 water fabrics & matching treads
- Threads for fence, plants, waves, birds and clouds
• No Show Mess stabilizer for 5 hoopings
• Warm & Natural batting type for 5 blocks
Day 2 (3 hr)
Agenda:
• Stitch blocks together
• Create quilt sandwich and ditch stitching
• Create 2 tone binding
• Bind/Complete runner/hanger
Supplies & tools needed:
• Sewing machine, Pins and Scissors
• 14” x 40” Warm & Natural batting for quilt sandwich
• 14” x 40” backing fabric & matching sewing thread and
bobbin
• Binding fabric (matches backing) 2” x width of fabric
(WOF) cut 3
• Second accent binding fabric 2 1⁄2” x WOF cut 3 and
matching sewing thread

Class Policy
Thank you for considering classes at Family Sewing. Our classes require planning and preparation in advance including ordering materials and supplies, scheduling teachers and reserving our classroom space. When students request cancellations or reschedule at the last minute, it affects all of the above in addition to taking away a spot from someone who wanted to take the class.
We are unable to make exceptions to our policy listed below. That includes reasons of illness, travel, or work. If you are unable to attend a class at the last minute, please consider offering the spot to a friend!
If Family Sewing cancels a class for any reason, you will receive a FULL refund.
If you wish to cancel 21 days or more before the date of your class, you will receive a FULL
refund.
If you cancel 14-20 days before the date of your class, you will receive a refund in the form of store credit.
If you cancel 3-14 days before the date of your class, you will receive a refund in the form of store credit minus the Teacher Fee for the class.
If you do not cancel your class within 48 hours of the class start date and time OR you do not show up, you will forfeit your payment for that class.
If you register for an event or class with a guest educator, your class fee is nonrefundable.
