Refund policy

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions regarding returns or refunds. The guidelines below outline our policies by product type.

General Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused, unworn, unwashed, and in original condition

  • Free from perfumes, smoke, pet hair, or odors

  • Returned in original, sealed packaging with all tags attached (if applicable)

Items that do not meet these conditions may be refused or returned to the customer.

Fabric

  • Fabric must be uncut, unwashed, and in its original sealed packaging

  • Fabric must be clean and free of perfumes, smoke, or pet odors

  • Cut fabric is final sale

Notions

  • Notions must be returned in their original, sealed packaging

  • Opened or used notions are not eligible for return

In-Store Purchases

  • Must be returned within 30 days of purchase

  • Original receipt is required

Shipped Orders

  • Customers must contact us within 3 days of delivery to initiate a return

  • Returned items must be received and inspected before a refund is issued

  • Refunds will be issued less any shipping costs incurred on the original order

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error

Final Sale Items

All sales are final on the following items:

  • Books

  • Patterns

  • Preorders

  • Custom orders

  • Sale or clearance items

Sewing Machines

All sewing machine sales are final. No refunds or returns are accepted on sewing machines once purchased.

Sewing Machine Upgrade Policy

Family Sewing LLC offers a Full Upgrade Policy on qualifying sewing machine purchases.

This policy guarantees the purchase price value of your sewing machine for one (1) year toward the purchase of another sewing machine that is at least double the price of the original purchase.

Upgrade Value Terms:

  • Trade-in value equals the original cash purchase price, less:

    • The value of any merchandise included in the original sale

    • Any prior trade-in discounts or promotional credits

  • Trade-in value does not include:

    • Taxes

    • Shipping fees

    • Service, accessories, or bonus items

Family Sewing LLC reserves the right to void this policy if the machine shows evidence of unusual use, neglect, damage, or abuse. In such cases, trade-in value will be determined based on our current Trade-In Value List.
